EnterMedia has been developing media database products, DAMs, and CMS tools for 15 years.

The code is open source and the system is found in fortune 500 companies, educational institutions, creative content providers, and small non-profits from all over the globe

Formerly OpenEdit DAM, EnterMedia EMShare is an established, open source, web-oriented DAM.

It began in 2000 as a multi-year project for Boeing and General Electric Aircraft Engines, built by Chris Burkey, future CEO of EnterMedia. The project required a web application for GE to capture technical data on jet engines.

From this, OpenEdit evolved into a web application framework used to create and maintain dynamic websites and custom web applications, particularly digital asset management, content management, and e-commerce.
