Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets, previously known as AEM DAM and prior to that, CQ DAM, was first offered in 2007 as an add-on to a Web CMS product from Switzerland-based Day Software – a 2010 acquisition.
Since the acquisition of Day, Adobe has been integrating AEM into the larger Adobe family, e.g. Creative Suite/Cloud, the former Omniture Suite, and Scene7 (now Commerce Accelerator).
